CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF CONSULTA EMRE BURÇKİN OWNS A WIDE COLLECTION THAT CONSISTS OF IMPERIAL ORDERS, CLASSIC CARS, AND MECHANICAL CLOCKS.

Chairman of the Board of Consulta Independent Auditing and Certified Public Accounting Emre Burçkin who expresses the importance of having an orderly life to find the balance between business and personal lives says, “The most important criteria for a man to reach success is to have an orderly marriage life. Your spouse should work. Don’t tire yourself by adopting principles on how many days a week you must socialize. You should keep your social life in order after you become specialized in a certain field in your business life.”

Passion for cars and clocks
There are approximately 200 thousand imperial orders in Emre Burçkin’s house and office. Many Ottoman court orders and acquittals are among them. Another hobby of Burçkin is cars. Burçkin who explains that his first car was a 1959 model convertible Fiat coupe designed by Pininfarina says, “The car that I had sold in 1976 is being displayed at Koç Museum today. Later, I have bought different types of cars. I own about nine classic cars. A 1977 model special design Mercedes coupe, a 1951 model convertible Singer, and a 1964 model Spitfire are among my favorite classic cars.”

Owns thirty mechanical clocks
Emre Burçkin who also has a curiosity for wrist and pocket watches says, “This passion that began with collecting wrist and pocket watches took on a new dimension when I began to collect mechanical watches from the 1800s. I own about thirty mechanical watches.”

Makes his own repair work
Emre Burçkin who mentions that he keeps magnifying glasses in different sizes on his desks both in his office and in home remarks that he keeps them at his fingertips all the time in order to see the antique items in detail. Burçkin emphasizes that he also makes the repair works of the watches in his collection. He draws attention to some models that could only be seen at royal palaces. He highlights that half of his one thousand square meters storage area is filled with his classic items collection.

Goes fishing
Mentioning that every summer he goes to Kınalıada since he was born, Burçkin says, “I’ve loved the sea since I was two. I love swimming. I have 12.5 meters long motor yacht. I enjoy fishing when my schedule yields. Especially in summer, I go fishing every weekend. I created a small gym in the upstairs of my office floor. I try to exercise at least once a week.”
