ANTALYA AND KAYSERİ JOINS THE HIGH-SPEED TRAIN NETWORK

UPON THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECTS, AN IMPORTANT RAILWAY CORRIDOR IS GOING TO BE CREATED ON OUR COUNTRY’S WEST-SOUTH-EAST CENTER LINE.

Antalya, tourism center of our country, and Kayseri, industry and trade center of our county, have been included in the network of high-speed train lines.

Antalya-Eskişehir and Antalya-Kayseri high-speed train lines that are going to transport passengers and also serve for freight shipping are going to create an important railway corridor on our country’s west-south-east center line.

ANTALYA PROJECT:
Within the structure of Burdur/Isparta-Afyonkarahisar-Kütahya (Alayunt) –Eskişehir High-Speed Train Line that is going to connect Antalya to İstanbul and İzmir through Eskişehir, a 423 km long double line with power and signals, which is suitable for 200 km/h speed, is going to be built.

Antalya-İstanbul 4.5 hours, Antalya-İzmir 3.5 hours
The foundation of the project, which its bidding process is under way, is going to be laid in 2016 and it is being planned to be completed in 2020. Upon the completion of Eskişehir-Antalya High-Speed Train Line that is planned to transport yearly an average of 4.5 million passengers and 10 million tons of cargo, the travel time between Antalya and İstanbul is going to be reduced to 4.5 hours and between Antalya and İzmir to 3.5 hours.

KAYSERİ PROJECT:
Antalya-Konya-Aksaray-Nevşehir-Kayseri High-Speed Train Project is planned to run on a double line with power and signals to suit both passenger and freight transportation and 200 km/h speed.

The bidding process of the line is under way and its foundation is expected to be laid in 2016. The completion is planned for 2020. The Project consists of Kayseri-Nevşehir (41 km), Nevşehir-Aksaray (110 km), Aksaray-Konya (148 km), Konya-Seydişehir (91 km), Seydişehir-Manavgat (98 km), Manavgat-Alanya (57 km), Manavgat-Antalya (97 km) sections and is 642 km long.

Antalya-Ankara 3 hours
Upon the completion of the line that is planned to transport a yearly average of 4.3 million of passengers and 4.6 million tons of cargo, the travel time between Antalya and Ankara is going to be reduced to 3 hours and between Antalya and Kayseri to 3.5 hours.
