ANTALYA IS GOING TO BE A HIGH-SPEED TRAIN CITY

ANTALYA, THE MOST SIGNIFICANT TOURISTIC CITY OF TURKEY, IS GOING TO MEET WITH HIGH-SPEED TRAINS.

The variety of means of transportation is going to be increased in Antalya, which is well known around the world at tourism. The previous Minister of Transportation, Maritime, and Communication Lütfi Elvan has given the news of High-Speed Train to the city during a meeting that took place in Antalya.

Lütfi Elvan said that they were determined to build High-Speed Train lines in Antalya and they were working on two different lines. His other news was about aviation. Elvan has announced that the Turkish Airlines would begin to operate direct flights between Ankara and Antalya. Also announcing that the new Antalya-Ankara Highway project is going to be put out to tender this year, Elvan said, “We are going to turn Antalya into a construction site. We are going to set Antalya as an example to the world.”

 The travel time between Konya and Antalya is going to be down to 2 hours
Elvan who pointed the incredible potential of Antalya and making it stronger stated that the distance between Antalya and Burdur would become shorter, the repairs on the divided road section between Muğla would be completed, and a divided road would connect Antalya and Mersin.

Elvan who explained that Konya would be connected to Antalya over Beyşehir said that the travel time between the two cities would be down to two hours. He also stated that the construction of high-speed train lines would begin in 2015 or 2016 and explained that an extensive work would be carried on to build an airport in the eastern part of Antalya.  

The second smart city is Antalya
Lütfi Elvan stated that the second smart city of Turkey would be Antalya following Karaman.
