Cahit Turhan took over the portfolio of Ahmet Arslan as the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs, and Communications. Turhan commenced his new duty as the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, with its new title.
Speaking at the handover ceremony held at the Ministry, Turhan said that the Ministry had signed big projects to facilitate the lives of the people of the country in terms of being accessible and reachable in daily life, travel and communication.
Turhan, who stated that the projects initiated by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications in the term of former Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and the work undertaken under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were praiseworthy, said, “I have also worked in the General Directorate of Highways within this Ministry for 30 years. I returned home after two years of separation. Hereafter, we will do our best to present better services to our country with the Transport Family.”
Turhan reminded President Erdoğan’s expression of “This job is a work of love, enthusiasm, heart, and compassion,” and said that they will also form the basis of services for every field in order to prepare the country for the targets of 2023, 2053, 2071 which he has shown. Turhan expressed that they will endeavor to put bigger projects into people’s use faster and with a new understanding to reach the goals that President Erdoğan has shown.
Underlining that they will work to bring this flag that they took over to its destination, Turhan made a wish for providing better and useful services to the nation and the country.
