HOW DO YOU CREATE A CIRCLE OF PEACE AT HOME?

MISTAKES MADE WHILE DECORATING YOUR HOUSE MIGHT CAUSE DISCOMFORT AT HOME.

Decoration of a house affects the peacefulness of the place, because mistakes made in decoration might cause discomfort sometimes. Creating peaceful corners and a circle of peace at home is possible by following the ‘Feng Shui’ rules. Well, what kind of changes are you supposed to do in which room to create a circle of peace at home? Here are our tips:

WATCH FOR THE ENERGY FLOW
According to Feng Shui, furniture should be kept separate from each other to let their energies circulate comfortably. This brings the place to a more comfortable state. There should be space between your sofas and tables so energy can travel freely.

COLORS
If you love relaxing home after a long and busy day, you should use pastel colors. The ones who would like to create a merry ambience at home should choose warm colors. For instance, you should use warm colors such as yellow or orange in your living room to radiate active energy. The overuse of red tones in your living room where you spend most of your time home might cause serious arguments and trouble between the family members.

LIVING SINGLE
The singles who would like to change their statue might want to care for some details. For example, they shouldn’t use stuffed animals, dolls or exercise cushions in their beds since they make the bed look occupied. Instead of choosing items that symbolize loneliness, they should go for objects that symbolize couples, flowers, and multiplicity. The ones who would like to get married might want to place pairs of candles, vases, or books at the right side of the room, because this is the love and marriage area of the room. Bedside stands and lamps on both sides of the bed should be added as if the bed is being shared with someone.

PEACE AREA
The rooms that are located rear side of the house are accepted as the peace areas. Therefore, it is suggested to choose the largest one of them as your bedroom. You should use warm colors, romantic music, soft sheets, and scented candles to transform your bedroom into a romantic and charming place. You should keep your bedroom free of ‘active’ furniture such as exerciser, table, and computer. If you must keep them in your bedroom, keep them away from your bed and cover them when they are not in use.

CHOOSE A GOOD LOCATION FOR YOUR BED
It is suggested to locate your bed to face your bedroom door to create a quiet area. You should never place your bed in front of a window where it is never quiet. Also, cover the mirrors in your room, if you’d like to sleep more comfortably at night because the mirrors keep the room awake. You should choose comfortable furniture with no pointy edges for a peaceful environment. Ch’i (universal life force energy in all living things) under your bed affects you throughout the night. So, keep under the bed empty.

DON’T FORGET THE KIDS
You can transform your children’s room into a peaceful, ready-to-sleep, quiet, and suitable-for-sleep-time place by painting it to warm pastel colors. You should replace action toys with family photos to make them feel safe. Decorate each wardrobe, table, or shelf that is shared between the siblings separately. This is going to have your children determine their own ch’is and respect each other’s area.

PEACE FOR GUESTS
You can create a peaceful environment for your guests. You only need to turn your guest room into a comfortable, warm, and nice corner just like the other rooms in your house. Keep its door open. Ventilate the room often. Don’t let yourself turn this rarely used place into a storage area. Clean it regularly to prevent that from happening.
