İsa Apaydın, Director General and CEO of TCDD, was re-elected to the position of Vice President of the International Railways Association (UIC).
Apaydın was re-elected to the position of Vice President for two years (2019-2020) at the 93rd General Assembly of UIC, the largest organization of the world in the field of railways with 200 members from five continents, held in Paris on Friday, December 07, 2018.
Elected unanimously for the second time
The term of office of Apaydın in the UIC, which was established in order to improve the cooperation between the worldwide railway organizations and to carry out all activities related to the development of railway transportation, ended on December 31, 2018 and he was unanimously elected as the Vice President for the second time as in the first election.
Carried the World High-Speed Railroad Congress to Ankara
Apaydın, who has made important decisions during his term of office, ensured the 10th of the UIC World High-Speed Railroad Congress, the most important high-speed railway event in the world, hosted by TCDD and held in Ankara between May 08 and 11, 2018.
He is also the President of the UIC’s Regional Assembly for the Middle East
Having been elected as the Vice President of UIC, Director General and CEO of TCDD, İsa Apaydın has been performing as the President of UIC’s Regional Assembly for the Middle East (RAME) since June 3, 2016.
