This month, we will take you to a bridge iconic enough to give its name to a city. To the Mostar Bridge, built in 1566 over Neretva River, a river one of the world ‘s most calm, serene and beautiful if you happen to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, The bridge, built  by Architect Hayreddin,a student of prominent architect Sinan was among the most important structures which thousands of people passed over for centuries in the Balkans until  ruined by the Croatian cannon fire in the Bosnian War in 1993.

However, the Mostar Bridge that witness the history is not allowed to vanish due to severe face of the war. In 1997, with the support of UNESCO and the World Bank, the original bridge is rebuilt.
