RENAULT HAS AN EYE ON THE LUXURY MARKET

RENAULT PLANS TO MAKE ROOM IN THE LUXURY MARKET FOR ITSELF WITH ITS NEW MODEL TALISMAN THAT IS GOING TO REPLACE LAGUNA AND LATITUDE.

Everyone is talking about the French brand Renault that took the plunge in terms of design. The brand gave the signals of a search for a more powerful place in the upper class with its new model Talisman. President of Renault Nissan Carlos Ghosn and President of Renault Design Group Laurens Van Den Acker have made the first introduction of Talisman. Carlos Ghosn said that the investment for the Talisman project is 420 million euro and the project is a clean slate for them. Talisman is going to be on the roads as the most competitive model of the brand in this area following the products that were presented to the market in the past but couldn’t achieve enough success such as VelSatis, Laguna, and Latitude. Talisman is going to be presented primarily to the Turkish market at the end of this year.

AMBITIOUS AT SPACIOUSNESS
Talisman that has 4850 mm of length, 1460 mm of height, and 2810 mm of wheelbase offers an extremely spacious interior for five. The final version of the model for production is going to be launched at Frankfurt Auto Show and the sales are going to begin at the end of this year. Talisman that was built on the new platform of Renault and Nissan alliance CMF-C has also a common structure with Kadjar and Espace.

HIGH LEVEL OF EQUIPMENT
Talisman that offers personalization options through its multi-sense system also is the only one that carries the title of D-segment sedan automobile, which brings four-wheel maneuver system and active dampers together. The automobile has seven digital display screens including R-Link 2.0 with its 8.7 touch screen and a color Head-up display screen. The flagship of the brand is going to take under an important mission. Talisman is going to be produced in Douai facilities of Renault in France.

TWO PETROL THREE DIESEL ENGINES
At first, Talisman is going to be sold with EnergyTCe 160 and EnergyTCe 200 petrol engines and seven-speed dual-clutch EDC gearbox. The automobile also comes with three different diesel engine options, being EnergydCi 110 (manual or EDC), 130 (manual or EDC), dCi 160 (EDC), 110 hp EnergydCi 3.

IT’S IN TURKEY AT THE END OF YEAR
Talisman that is going to replace Laguna and Latitude is going to compete primarily with Ford Mondeo and VW Passat as it is going to compete with Mercedes-Benz C Series, Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series in terms of high level of equipments. Production of a hybrid version of Talisman is expected; however, an electric version is not being considered right now.
