THE COMPETITION BETWEEN THE SMALL ONES IS GOING TO BE BIGGER THAN THEIR SIZE

THERE WILL BE A FIERCE COMPETITION BETWEEN THE RENEWED HYUNDAI i20, OPEL CORSA AND SKODA FABIA STARTING FROM 2015.

Compact urban cars, in other words B class, form an important part of the automotive industry in our country as well as in Europe. There a is fierce competition in this class that has strong players such as Ford Fiesta, Opel Corsa, VW Polo, SeatIbiza, Renault Clio, Skoda Fabia, and Peugeot 208. The important models in B class that sells more than 150 thousand yearly, Hyundai i20, Opel Corsa, Skoda Fabia, have been renewed entirely. A cutthroat competition between the new models in this class is expected in 2015.

FROM IZMIT TO THE WORLD MARKETS: HYUNDAI i20
The new Hyndai i20 was developed at the design center in Germany, and manufactured only in Izmit. It is going to be sent to the world markets from Izmir. Among the 30 countries in the region, the new i20 is going to be produced only in Turkey and is going to be exported from Turkey. Two hundred thousand new i10 and i20 are going to be manufactured yearly at the Hyundai Assan Izmit factory with works in three shifts. The factory, which is the only one that manufacters these two models, targets to 110 thousand exports in 2015. The factory also targets to sell 25 thousand cars in Turkey to make it the best selling model of this class.

Economic engines
Hyundai i20, which its wheelbase is extended by 45mm to make it 4035mm, is one of the largest models of its class. The automobile that has 301 lt luggage capacity has elegant features. Among the engines with improved fuel consumption, the gas engine versions consume 4.8lt of fuel in 100km, while the diesel engine versions consume 3.9lt.

Starting from 37.990 TL
i20 comes in three equipment grades: Jump, Style, and Elit. Nine different exterior colors are combined with three interior colors. Panoramic sunroof is optional. The price of the vehicle starts from 37,990TL and reaches up to 52,990TL for the highest version.

THE NEWEST WEAPON OF OPEL: CORSA
Corsa, the strong player of Opel in its class, undertakes an important mission as the key player in the sales of the brand. Corsa that has succeeded to make 12 million sales, spreading over 32 years with four generations, makes over 25 percent of Opel sales around the world each year.

Promoted for sale for the first time in 1994 in our country, Corsa has been sold over 200 thousand units. Now, renewed completely, Corsa is coming to carry the same success one-step further with its fifth generation, equipped with the strongest tools.

New 1.0 lt engine
Fifth generation Corsa draws attention with its 1.0 lt engine, information-entertainment system, renewed modern exterior and interior designs. The new Corsa comes in three equipment grades called Enjoy, Color Edition, and Sport and it will be presented to the Turkish markets in the midst of February 2015. The vehicle also comes with 1.0 lt 115 hpw and 170 Nm of torque producing gas engine, 6-speed manual/automatic transmission options. The familiar motor options, which were available before as 1.2 and 1.4 lt four cylinder gas engine and 1.3 CDTi diesel engine, are still in use for the new Corsa. Developed by Opel, automated third generation Easytronic 3.0 is going to be presented for sale in the midst of 2015 in 1.3 diesel engine for the first time in new Corsa. The new Corsa is going to be marketed in 2015 with a sales target of 14-15 thousand.

CHANGED FOR THE THIRD TIME: SKODA FABIA
Czech manufacturer Skoda’s important model in B class, Fabia is renewed completely. Becoming more competitive thanks to its new design, innovative equipments, and engine options, Skoda Fabia is going to be on the roads of Turkey with its third generation starting from March, 2015. Fabia, which became the second most selling model after Octavia with 3.5 million units sold around the world, is getting ready to carry its success in quality, safety, efficiency, and design one-step further with its third generation. Since 1999 when it was presented to the market for the first time, Fabia has achieved many success stories in many countries around the world and it targets to accomplish more improvement with its third generation.

Efficient engines
The new Skoda Fabia has up to 17 percent more efficiency than its predecessor generation. Fabia that comes in four gas and three diesel engine options offers Start-Stop, brake energy recovery systems. It is presented in 1.0 MPI (60 and 75 hpw), 1.2lt TSI (90 and 110 hpw) gas engine options. The horsepower of the diesel engines change between 75 and 105. It still comes in DSG automatic transmission as it used to be. The sale target of new Fabia for 2015 is 3 thousand units.
