THE SECOND HALF IN AUTOMOTIVE HAS STARTED BRISKLY

Automotive sales have maintained the growth caught in the first months of the year. The new models that are being released one after another are affecting this increase in sales as much as the promotional campaigns of the brands. In the first five months of 2016, 347,277 sedan and light commercial vehicle sales occurred in Turkey’s automobile and light commercial vehicle market. The new models that will be sold in the second half of the year will increase the sales figures even more. Here are the new models that will reach important sales figures in the Turkish market.

SLANT-EYED TWIN OF MERCEDES
Infiniti, the player in the premium segment of the Renault and Nissan alliance, decided to co-operate with Daimler instead of making a crossover from scratch in the compact class and so the new vehicle of the brand, Q30, started being produced in England. Q30, which has the same size, interior, silhouette, motor, and transmission as Mercedes, creates the biggest difference with its rear windows that descend in a different angle and its price compared to GLA and is sold 15 percent cheaper than its twin Mercedes GLA. The first Infiniti model in the premium compact crossover class, Q30, which has a 156 horse power 1,6-liter turbo feed, 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, and premium level of equipment, is for sale in our country’s market at prices starting from 139,850 TL. The automobile is being presented to the Turkish market with 3 different motors and 7 different level of equipments. Its 2.0T model comes with the 4-wheel drive system as standard.

A YOUTH INJECTION TO RENAULT CLIO
Renault Clio, which has made 13 million total number of sales to this day since its production, has undergone a renewal operation. The automobile that has finally met with features similar to Megane’s and Scenic’s in accordance with the generic design line of the brand now has renovations that catch eyes at the first glance such as a wide radiator grille, a large brand badge, and chrome surfaces. The trapezoid shaped air inlet grill on the front grill, new LED headlights, and redesigned stop lights were also affected by the youth operation. Besides the visual changes, Clio’s interior has also received renovations. The automobile, which is furnished with materials that we are used to see in the upper class, now presents a feeling of higher quality with the plastic and chrome details. The vehicle, which now has four new color options, has more customization options as well. The new face of the renewed Clio, which will officially be promoted in the Paris Motor Show that will be held this fall, will begin to be sold at the end of this year in Europe and our country.

THE MOST LUXURIOUS VOLVO IS BEING PREPARED
Volvo’s new luxury class model, S90, has been introduced in Turkey. Volvo S90s, which can be now preordered, will start being delivered to their owners in September. Its D5 AWD version that has a 4-cylinder 2.0-lt capacity 235-hp diesel motor will be sold at prices starting from 291 thousand TL. As the automobile that has been equipped with advanced features roams at a speed of 130 km/h, it supplies minor navigational warnings to stay between the lane lines eliminating the need to follow another vehicle. Also the City Safety System has started being used in S90’s as a new feature. Thanks to this technology, the vehicle can sense obstacles that may appear on the road all day and night. At the same time, it warns the driver and provides brake support to prevent a collision.

THE SAMURAI OF ADAPAZARI RENEWED ITS MAKEUP
Toyota Corolla that is being produced at the factory in Adapazarı will be put on the market after its rejuvenation operation. The first traces of the renewal operation in Corolla, which has been extensively revised, are noticeable on its front appearance. The appearance of the vehicle has been changed with new front grills, LED head and tail lights, buffers with different designs, and darkened rear windows. As the chrome details on the door handles of the vehicle are more stylish, its 7-inch Toyota Touch 2 touch screen, 4.2-inch (TFT) multi-functioning color screen, and new upholstery options have its interior quality increased. Corolla will be sold in a new appearance at the end of the month and no changes have been made to its price.
