Written by Duygu Asena, who had devoted her life to liberate women, “Aslında Özgürsün” (Actually You Are Free) tells the story of the friendship between Belgin and Berna. Belgin, in her kitchen, and Berna, in the plaza, fight to make a living in the play, which will meet with audiences at Yenimahalle Municipality 4 Mevsim Theater Hall in Ankara in March. Two young women and best of friends are on a search of identity and love while holding on to each other against the taboos and moral sentiments imposed upon them by society and men.
ÂŞIK VEYSEL THE MUSICAL
Written and starred by Bülent Kılıçaslan, Âşık Veysel The Musical tells the stories of Veysel, the bard, love, Anatolia and our Republic. In fact the play tells the story of a journey, which begins in 1894 and continues until March 21, 1973, going from city to city, from heart to heart, hard, long and fine… It will be on stage at Yunus Emre Cultural Center in İstanbul on March 11.
