The negative image of diesel engines all over the world and the range problem of 100 percent electric models have made hybrid vehicles that use petrol and electric motors at the same time much more popular. The hybrids, which are powered by electric motors that turns off the gasoline engine in heavy traffic and does not need to be charged from the outside since they fill the battery with the electricity they store while driving, have considerable consumption advantages. While the rate of purchasing among consumers who know hybrid cars in Turkey is 26 percent in 2014, this ratio has reached 63 percent in 2015 and 70 percent in 2016. The South Korean manufacturer KIA’s first crossover hybrid model took its place in the dealers in our country. With a special eco-vehicle platform and hybrid system, Kia’s new crossover model, Niro, is breaking new ground. Niro that officially took the title of being the first hybrid car to travel the US from one end to another with the lowest fuel consumption entered the Guinness Book of Records and is noted for this success. Niro, which gains appreciation also with its SUV characteristics, has a 1.6-liter direct-injection petrol engine, a lithium-ion polymer battery, and a 32 kW electric motor and transmits its power to the front wheels with its six-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering only 88 g/km of CO2 emission. With a fuel consumption of 3.8 liters/100 km, KIA Niro stands out as the most economical and environmentally friendly product in its class. It also offers the best performance of its class with its 141 horsepower engine. Niro is sold at prices starting from 124 thousand TL.

Described as the world’s first compact luxury hybrid car, the Lexus CT 200h stands out with its design and driving characteristics. The model with both petrol and electric motors combines low fuel consumption and sporty driving. The 1798 cc petrol engine produces 136 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque. The fuel consumption of the CT 200h is 4.1l at 100 km. The CT 200h, with a 1.8-liter petrol engine, is taxed at 1.6-liter engine ratios with tax incentives. The buyers of the Lexus CT 200h benefit from a hybrid incentive of up to 59.466 TL. The Lexus CT 200h is offered for sale at prices starting at 158.600 TL. The vehicle, which has a rich equipment package, plans to compete with German competitors in the SUV category. The CT 200h also holds the most affordable Lexus title at a price starting from 158.000 TL.
