We Are Making Turkey an Important Trade Route

The transportation sector is one of the main drivers of economic development and an important service sector that contributes to the increase of community welfare.

As the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we knowingly work and produce projects. We show every effort and commitment necessary for the development of society and for the development of Turkey, to achieve its targets for the year of the 100th anniversary of our Republic by increasing our service quality every year. At this point, we also ensure that we become a country that can now use the advantages of its geographical location.

We’ve been working tirelessly for 16 years to turn this advantage into power. Likewise, in recent years, there has been a complete revolution in our roads, railways, aviation and seas.

We made Turkey the world’s 8th and Europe’s 6th high-speed train operating country. We have made the dream of Silk Railroad reaching from Far East to Western Europe and from Beijing to London became true via the Baku Tbilisi Kars Project and 1.5 centuries old Marmaray dream. We also completed the move of İstanbul Airport at the beginning of April.

In order to provide all the services required by the logistics sector, 9 of the 21 logistics centers that we have planned were opened for operation, and 5 of them are still under construction. These centers will provide logistics services to the world from all over our country. But more importantly, all of our investments, along with the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line inaugurated on October 30, will make Turkey the most important trade route between China and Europe.
